RingMoney Account Closure Policy

(Effective from October 2025)
 
At RingMoney, we believe in giving our users complete freedom and control over their financial journey — including the right to close their account whenever they wish.
This policy outlines the process, important considerations, and timelines associated with account closure on RingMoney.

1. Purpose

This Account Closure Policy explains how users can permanently close their RingMoney account and what steps they must complete before doing so.
It ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and the protection of user data, funds, and investment records.

2. When Can You Request Account Closure?

You may request closure of your RingMoney account at any time, provided that:
 
  • You have no active mutual fund investments or SIPs registered through RingMoney.
  • All pending redemption requests or transactions have been successfully processed.
  • Any unsettled balances or refunds have been transferred to your verified bank account.
 
If any active investment remains linked to your account, closure will be temporarily on hold until such investments are redeemed or transferred.

3. How to Close Your RingMoney Account

Follow these simple steps to initiate your account closure:
 
Step 1: Login to Your Account
 
Visit www.ringmoney.in and log in using your registered email or phone number.
 
Step 2: Navigate to Account Closure
 
Go to Profile → Settings → Account Management → Close Account, or raise a request through Help & Support.
 
Alternatively, you can email your closure request from your registered email ID to support@ringmoney.in with the subject line:
 
“Account Closure Request – [Your Full Name]”
 
Step 3: Verification and Consent
 
For your security, we will verify:
 
  • Your identity (via OTP), and
  • Confirmation that all mutual fund holdings have been withdrawn or transferred.
 
You may also be asked to digitally sign a closure declaration confirming that you wish to permanently deactivate your RingMoney account.
 
Step 4: Confirmation
 
Once verified, RingMoney will process your closure request within 5–7 working days.
A confirmation email or SMS will be sent once your account is successfully closed.

4. Post-Closure Effects

Upon account closure:
 
  • Your RingMoney access will be permanently disabled, including login, portfolio view, and transaction history.
  • Any linked investment data will remain safely stored with the respective Registrar & Transfer Agents (RTAs) and AMCs, as per SEBI regulations.
  • You will continue to receive statutory investment statements or tax documents (if applicable) from the concerned AMCs.
  • Your personal data will be retained or deleted in accordance with our Data Retention and Privacy Policy.

5. Important Notes

  • Account closure requests made with active SIPs or holdings cannot be processed until those investments are closed or moved.
  • Once closed, your RingMoney account cannot be reopened using the same PAN. You may, however, create a new account in the future using a different PAN or regulatory setup.
  • Ensure you download all your investment statements and tax records before requesting closure.
  • If your account was under verification or regulatory review, closure will only proceed after completion of that process.

7. Policy Control & Updates

RingMoney reserves the right to amend or update this Account Closure Policy at its discretion, in line with regulatory changes or operational improvements.
All changes will be reflected on our website with the latest effective date.
